The necklace measures 18 inches and closes with a custom sterling silver box clasp that Jack handcrafted, set with a square-cut amethyst bezel at the top.

Jack sourced a rare and exceptional sugilite specimen and fabricated a sterling silver bezel setting with a bail, creating a pendant that hangs an additional 1.5 inches below the necklace strand. On the reverse of the pendant, Jack hand-cut a sterling silver butterfly and stamped it with the Hidden Jewel hallmark and 925, our permanent mark of authenticity, craft, and care.

About the Gemstones

Tiffany Stone is one of the rarest gemstones found on earth. It forms from a combination of bertrandite, fluorite, opal, and manganese oxide. It is found in only one location in the world: the Brush Wellman beryllium mine in Juab County, Utah. Its swirling patterns of lavender, purple, cream, and soft violet are entirely natural and entirely unrepeatable. No two beads in this necklace look the same because no two pieces of Tiffany Stone ever do.

Sugilite is a rare cyclosilicate mineral first identified in 1944 by Japanese petrologist Ken-ichi Sugi, for whom it is named. The most prized specimens come from the Wessels Mine in the Northern Cape of South Africa, where manganese-rich conditions produce the deep, saturated violet that makes gem-quality sugilite so sought after by collectors and healers alike.
