Surfite is a composite material made from paint layers and fiberglass, and it benefits from mindful, specific care that honors its unique composition:

• Keep away from prolonged water exposure. Unlike natural stone, Surfite's layered composite structure can be sensitive to moisture over time. Do not soak or submerge. Wipe clean with a dry or very lightly damp cloth only.
• Keep away from direct sunlight for extended periods. The paint layers that give Surfite its extraordinary color can fade with prolonged UV exposure, just as paint on any surface will fade in direct sun over time. Display in indirect light to preserve the vibrancy of the color layers.
• Use sound as your primary cleansing method. A singing bowl or tuning fork moves beautifully through this lightweight, resonant material without risking its composition.
• Smudge gently with sage, palo santo, or lavender, keeping the burning material at a respectful distance from the piece.
• Charge on selenite overnight to restore and amplify its energetic field.
• Handle with care and intention. Despite its surprising durability, the carved edges and cap of the mushroom form benefit from deliberate, gentle handling. Always set it down on a soft surface.
