The 3mm round smooth rhodonite beads in this bracelet are strung onto fireline cord one at a time before a single crochet stitch is made, and then crocheted into a complete, three-dimensional tube using a slip stitch crochet technique that locks each bead into the exterior surface of the tube with a precision and security that a simple strung or knotted bracelet cannot achieve.

Rhodonite has a Mohs hardness of 5.5 to 6.5, placing it in the moderate range for gemstone durability. It is suitable for daily wear with consistent, thoughtful care, but it requires more careful handling than harder stones such as quartz or sapphire. The black manganese oxide veining in rhodonite is slightly softer than the rose-pink silicate ground, and the stone's surface can be scratched by contact with harder materials, including other gemstones, metal surfaces, and abrasive fabrics.

Wipe this bracelet gently with a soft, dry cloth after each wearing to remove any perspiration, skin oil, or surface residue before storing. Do not use a damp cloth on rhodonite.
