Faceted Amazonite rectangular Sterling Silver ring, green colored ring

This stunning ring is made from the natural gemstone amazonite. This Approximately 9x30mm oval gemstone was set in a sturdy sterling silver bezel, with decorative gold filled prongs. The band is a 5mm wide sterling silver shank with a milled pattern on the shank.. the back of the ring is marked with our hallmark and 925.

What is amazonite? Amazonite is a green feldspar mineral gemstone used in jewelry for over 2000 years! Amazonite has been seen in archaeological finds in Egypt and Mesopotamia, showing its value to use in jewelry for thousands of years. Its named for the the location it was first documented, at the base of the amazon river. However there are no known deposits today in that area.
