The reason for the polyurethane is to keep the color of gold bright and robust. The measurements of the slab are 6.75''x 3.25'' and .25'' thick. The slab also comes with its stand. The measurements of the stand on its own are 5''x4.75'' x 3.5''. The weight in the slab is .056 lbs. the stand weight is .044 lbs.
