1. Ovations for the Cure! Teal Bracelet Kumihimo Class (Japanese Braiding)

$60.00
DATE: April 14th @ 6:00PM EST

Create a beautiful, braided teal bracelet yourself! And Support Ovations for the Cure at the same time! This class is appropriate for all ages.

Learn the basic concepts of

  • How to load your cord on the kumihimo disk
  • Using spools to prevent tangling
  • The basic pattern for moving the cords on the disk to create a rope
  • Information about finishing the ends and attaching a clasp

Kumihimo is great for people on the move, as it can travel with you, in your purse, or backpack, and you can pull it out at anytime and continue where you left off. This is possible because you have prepared everything in advance so you have a neat package, that travels well and doesn't take a lot of space.  No tools are necessary!

Fee includes Hidden Jewel's Kumihimo disk that you can keep, with bobbins to keep your thread untangled, to continue your newly learned art form! All the materials you need to make a bracelet, including a magnetic clasp are included! Every class participant will receive a pdf copy of Hidden Jewel’s complete, step-by-step instructions—including photos—showing how to replicate your own Kumihimo jewelry after class! We will even throw in some extra materials so you can make a second, tie on bracelet, on your own to practice your new skills after class!

Instructor: Stacy Connolly Class fee: $60

$18 from each class fee goes directly to Ovations!

(18 is the sacred number for long life!)
