This Stunning Ring was hand forged in our shop by Jack. It is a stunning piece of gem quality triangular sugilite captured in a custom sterling silver bezel with gold filled rope accent. All material is 925 sterling silver, except the rope accent which is gold filled. The setting is closed on the back. The ring shank is split. The stone is polished to a 50,000 diamond finish. This ring is a size 7, which should fit comfortably on the average women's ring finger. The stone is genuine sugilite triangle around 15mm darker purple in color. Sugilite also is a rare pink to purple cyclosilicate mineral. It was first discovered in 1944 by the Japanese rock hound Ken-ichi Sugi. This extraordinary mineral is a byproduct of manganese mines. Sugilite is rare pink to purple mineral that in gem quality is currently only found in a single mine in Northern Cape Province, South Africa. The most valuable Sugilite cabochon stone is translucent.
